Trip from Kigali to Kibogora.

It is approximately a six hour drive to Kibogora from Kigali. The route goes through the mountains there is a rain forest and tea plantations among other interesting areas.

Here are some highlights of our drive to Kibogora:

Rwanda is known as the country of a thousand hills.

Here is tea growing on the mountain sides.

This man is bagging up charcoal. This is what people use to cook with because they do not have electricity. Since they live so near the equator they do not have winter. Only rainy and dry seasons. Therefore they cook outside their houses.

Here are some children hearding cows and goats along the road (highway).

This is a typical view. Isn't it beautiful? So lush and the soil so fertile.
